As this year draws to a close, I thought now would be the perfect time to take a look back at the best chamber of commerce websites of 2014.
What makes these chamber websites "the best?" Stunning full-width photography, flat design, cool interactive effects, vibrant colors—these are just a few of the elements that make these websites great.
So, whether you're looking for some design inspiration or just want to keep tabs on your fellow chambers, you'll love this list of the best chamber websites of 2014!
The U.S. Chamber website has a clean, modern feel. Notable elements include the flat design, the color combo of muted red and bright blue, and the nice use of icons.
A washed-out background image on the Springfield Area Chamber website allows the brightly-colored call-to-action buttons to really stand out. The background image also has a cool parallax scrolling effect.
The Williamson, Inc. website features an unobtrusive fixed navigation (it shrinks and becomes transparent when you scroll), a full-width image rotator and cool animations.
The Owasso Chamber website makes a bold statement with its bright red accent color and unique geometric headers.
An emerging trend in web design is to use a static header, rather than an image rotator. The Garland Chamber implemented this trend superbly!
The use of color and transparency in the graphics is very interesting, and the angled lines used to separate the different content areas are unique and eye-catching.
The Columbus Chamber website uses large icons to help visitors navigate to different sections of the website.
It's no surprise that the Edmond Chamber's beautiful website won an Award of Excellence at the ACCE 2014 convention.
The Cabarrus Regional Chamber website features a fixed navigation menu and well-organized content areas.
The Lincoln Chamber's edgy new website also won an Award of Excellence at the ACCE 2014 convention. The use of geometric elements on this site is really cool.
